World's poultry congress 2026
- The World’s Poultry Congress will be organized from 13-17 July 2026 in Toronto, Canada. Visit the Congress website for actual information.

- To encourage student and young scientist participation, two programmes will be available that will aid with financial costs and offer exclusive events for programme participants: the Young Scientists Programme and the Youth Programme. Information on both programmes can be found on the website.
- Young WPSA members/students and older scientists (>40 y) from developing countries can apply for a WPSA Travel Grant.
- The World’s Poultry Science Association (WPSA) announce the 8th round of awards to be presented at the World’s Poultry Congress. The awards are made in each of two categories – Research and Education – which form part of the wording on the WPSA logo. The award will consist of a suitably inscribed certificate or plaque and US$ 15,000.
- 2026 Cliff D. Carpenter International Essay Competition. Five travel awards of $2,000 will be made available on a competitive basis to full time graduate poultry science students for attendance at the World’s Poultry Congress in Toronto, Canada.

- The Japan Poultry Science Association (JPSA) encourages the submission of original research articles and review papers to the Journal of Poultry Science (JPS, IF=1.6, 2024) using the following website: https://jpn-psa.jp/en/jps-en/ The JPS is an Open Access Journal, and full-published articles are freely available for download on J-Stage at https://www.jstage.jst.go.jp/browse/jpsa.
- The Japan Poultry Science Association (JPSA) would like to contribute to Poultry Science in Japan and worldwide by enhancing international activities among members from different countries. The JPSA has a membership category for foreign citizens residing abroad as ‘Special International Members.’ The JPSA invariably welcomes new members from all over the world. - Understanding the academic needs of our members and the regional poultry-specialist community, the Colombia branch (AMEVEA) and its scientific committee, has designed a very comprehensive academic programme, which we will implement in 2026. - This past November 18, the Colombia branch (AMEVEA) celebrated the 57th anniversary of its foundation. We joyfully celebrate the joint effort to unite, train, and strengthen the national and international poultry industry.

- APSS 2026: The Australian Poultry Science Symposium will be held in Sydney on 9-11 February 2026. It will cover broiler and layer nutrition, artificial intelligence in poultry production, poultry welfare, re-imagining amino acid nutrition, intestinal health and antibiotic replacement, and updates on avian influenza. Registration is now open via the website https://apss.sydney.edu.au/. Early Bird registration deadline 15 December 2025.
- The Japan Poultry Science Association (JPSA) will hold the 2026 Spring Meeting Online on March 26-27, with presentations from 9:00 to 17:00 (JST). Details about the meeting will be posted at https://jpn-psa.jp/en/meeting-information/ The JPSA welcomes broad participation worldwide.
- The next UK Branch spring conference will be held in Manchester 22-23 April 2026. To submit an abstract by 5 December 2026, please see our webpage.
- The Turkish Branch of WPSA will hold the International Congress on Digitalization and Health in Poultry Production on 7-8 May 2026 in Elazığ. Registration is now open and early bird discounts are available for those who sign up soon. Register at: https://ipc2026.com/eng/?p=reg-accommodation.
- The next IFRG meeting will take place on 29-30 October in The Netherlands. Organizing committee: Dr Roos Molenaar (Chair IFRG), Fiona Schoemaker MSc (Royal GD Animal Health), Lotte Hebbink MSc (Royal PasReform), Dr Thijs Manders (University of Utrecht). Updates will be published on the website.
- The UK branch is hosting the next European Symposium on Poultry Welfare, on 31st May to 3rd June 2027 (please note the change of dates.) See the website and register your interest https://espw2027.com/.
- The next World Waterfowl Conference will be organized 20-22 September 2027 in Nantes (France). All information is available at the following link.

- The Book of Abstracts of the 13th European Symposium on Poultry Genetics, which was held from 8-10 October 2025 in Gdansk, Poland can be downloaded here.
- The Book of Abstracts of the 3rd Pan-African Poultry Conference, which was held 22-23 September 2025 in Pretoria, South Africa can be downloaded here.
- The Cameroon branch, in collaboration with partners from Australia, Colombia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, hosted a side event titled Innovating for Inclusive and Resilient Livestock Systems on 29 September 2025, during the FAO Global Conference on Sustainable Livestock Transformation in Rome, Italy. The session featured a case study on poultry farming in Cameroon presented by the branch Secretary General, Prof. Djitie Kouatcho. Watch the full event here.
- The Colombia branch (AMEVEA), with the support of WPSA, held a students’ seminar on promoting the study and interest in poultry sciences. It was attended by 197 students from 19 universities, showing this industry from different perspectives: academic, professional association, and business. The seminar was attended by Dr. Michele Tixier, President of WPSA, who introduced WPSA and detailed the benefits available for professionals and for students.
