This fall has seen the completion of symposia from the Working Groups of the European Federation. Following the European Symposium of Poultry Nutrition, the Economics, Breeding and Genetics, Egg & Meat quality, Incubation, Fertility and Physiology held very successful meetings, gathering science, education and industry as expected from WPSA. The organisers of these symposium deserve our congratulations. Proceedings can be found on https://wpsa.com/proceedings/.
The 3rd Pan-african Poultry Conference was held successfully in Pretoria, Sept 20-22, thanks to the dedication of the African Poultry Network coordination team. As a consequence, we are seeing the revival of some African WPSA branches and I encourage all colleagues from African countries who do not yet have a branch to look at https://wpsa.com/forming-a-branch/ and contact our secretariat. Join the WPSA family, you will not regret it !
A special mention for the Sri Lanka branch who invited me to its Annual Event on October 17, which was a really good mix of academic presentations and discussion with companies, most of them being led by individual entrepreneurs, all very dynamic people.
WPSA also collaborated with PSA for the programme of the Pacific Rim Poultry Conference in China, with a significant contribution of our Asia-Pacific Federation, many thanks to them.
Looking ahead now: the call for abstracts for WPC 2026 in Toronto is still open until December 1, 2025 (https://www.wpc2026toronto.com/). Do not miss this unique opportunity to meet and discuss with colleagues from all continents.
Looking forward to meeting you all in Toronto
Michèle Tixier-Boichard
