  • The webpage of the African Poultry Network of the WPSA (WPSA-APN), which provides detailed information about its Constitution, Office Holders, Pan-African Poultry Conferences and Proceedings, has been updated and can be visited at https://wpsa.com/african-poultry-network.

  • The Cameroon branch of WPSA, with the support of Le Studium – Loire Valley Institute for Advanced Studies in France, held an international webinar on ‘Understanding the Drivers of Poultry Meat Quality Along the Supply Chain’ with presentations by Dr. Elisabeth Baeza-Campone of INRAE (France) and Prof. Mbouguen Pierre Désiré of the University of Ngaoundéré. The webinar aimed to strengthen scientific cooperation between the French and Cameroonian branches of WPSA, as well as research institutions. The replay (In French) can be watched at link.

  • The Cameroon branch of WPSA held a training session on March 2–7, 2026, for more than 20 young participants from Cameroon and Chad. The training focused on best practices in broiler production and the development of profitable poultry business projects, aiming to strengthen participants’ technical and entrepreneurial capacities. Guidelines

The new guidelines relating to designing surveillance for HPAI in resource-limited settings have just been published by WOAH: World Organization for Animal Health (2026).   • Registration for the UK spring conference (22-23 April 2026, held in Manchester) is now open: WPSA UK spring meeting 2026 – WPSA. You must register by 3rd April 2026. You can view the preliminary programme here.
  • The Turkish Branch of WPSA will hold the International Congress on Digitalization and Health in Poultry Production on 7-8 May 2026 in Elazığ. Deadline for abstract submission is 30 March 2026. For registration and other information, go to: https://ipc2026.com/eng/?p=reg-accommodation.
  • The European Symposium on Poultry Welfare (ESPW) will be hosted by the UK branch, and held in Glasgow, 31 May – 3 June 2027. Register your interest here.
  • The 8th Mediterranean Poultry Summit (MPS 2026) will be held on 27–30 September 2026 in Split, Croatia, bringing together scientists and industry representatives to discuss region-related recent advances in poultry production, product quality, and sustainability. Researchers are invited to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. Abstract submission deadline: 15 June 2026. More information: https://www.mpn-wpsa.org/split2026/home/index.php.
  • The Working Group 6 IFRG (Incubation and Fertility Research Group) of the European Federation of WPSA, will hold its meeting in Utrecht, the Netherlands on October 29–30, 2026. For information and registration, go to .https://www.ifrg.be/ifrg-meeting-2026.
