Dear members of WPSA,

The WPSA Board met on June 23-24, before the opening of the European Poultry Conference in Valencia, Spain. This event was well attended and very successful, congratulations to the Spanish branch! Some highlights from the board were the 3rd Panafrican Poultry Conference to be held in Pretoria, September 22-23, 2025 (check the calendar on www.wpsa.com), the revival of activities of the Small Scale Family Poultry Farming working group of Asia Pacific Federation, with training activities to empower women, and the decision to offer a new programme to support research of PhD students. Keep an eye on www.wpsa.com to get more information. Also, we are in the process of renewing the web site to make it more simple and attractive while providing all information you need to know about WPSA.

• The Japan Poultry Science Association (JPSA) will hold the 2024 Autumn Meeting at Kyoto University on Thursday, September 19. Presentations will be from 9:00 to 17:00 (JST). The details about the meeting will be posted here. The JPSA is welcoming a broad participation over the globe (Japan).

• The latest and back issues of the World Family Poultry Journal (WFPJ) can be downloaded here. (WPSA-APN)
• All the materials presented at the XVI European Poultry Conference (Valencia, Spain, June 2024) are now accessible at the website. There are tags of Book of Abstract, of Programme, and of Online Proceedings that allow to search and view Abstracts, Digital Posters, Full Papers and Presentations (slides). A video covering various EPC activities can be viewed on YouTube.
• The UK branch has now published the abstracts from the WPSA-UK Spring Meeting. These are open access and available here: 2024 Spring Meeting of the WPSA UK Branch abstracts. (UK)
