  • The World’s Poultry Congress will be organized from 13-17 July 2026 in Toronto, Canada. Visit the Congress website for actual information.
  • Registration is open for the 2026 World’s Poultry Congress in Toronto!

  • Young WPSA members/students and older scientists (>40 y) from developing countries can apply for a WPSA Travel Grant.
  • 2026 Cliff D. Carpenter International Essay Competition. Five travel awards of $2,000 will be made available on a competitive basis to full time graduate poultry science students for attendance at the World’s Poultry Congress in Toronto, Canada. Deadline extended to February 10, 2026.
  • Nominating Advisory Committee (NAC): proposals of candidates for nomination of Secretary-General, Treasurer and Vice-Presidents may be made by any individual member or Branch. Each candidate can only be nominated for one position.
    Nominations must be send to the NAC Chair, Dr Roel Mulder (ro*****@***il.com). Deadline: April 1, 2026.

  • The Italian Branch of the WPSA held the first Italian Poultry Week (24–28 November 2025) in Bertinoro, engaging about 40 young researchers and industry professionals. Detailed information, including the event’s program, are available on the website of the Italian Branch.
    The Italian Branch is willing to share its experience from this week with other branches, and support them in organizing similar ones.

  • APSS 2026: The Australian Poultry Science Symposium will be held in Sydney on 9-11 February 2026. It will cover broiler and layer nutrition, artificial intelligence in poultry production, poultry welfare, re-imagining amino acid nutrition, intestinal health and antibiotic replacement, and updates on avian influenza. Registration is now open via the website https://apss.sydney.edu.au/.
  • The Japan Poultry Science Association (JPSA) will hold the 2026 Spring Meeting Online on March 26-27, with presentations from 9:00 to 17:00 (JST). Details about the meeting will be posted at https://jpn-psa.jp/en/meeting-information/ The JPSA welcomes broad participation worldwide.
  • The next UK Branch spring conference will be held in Manchester, 22-23 April 2026. For details and registration, please see our webpage.
  • The Turkish Branch of WPSA will hold the International Congress on Digitalization and Health in Poultry Production on 7-8 May 2026 in Elazığ. Registration is now open at: https://ipc2026.com/eng/?p=reg-accommodation.
  • The next IFRG meeting will take place on 29-30 October 2026 in The Netherlands. Organizing committee: Dr Roos Molenaar (Chair IFRG), Fiona Schoemaker MSc (Royal GD Animal Health), Lotte Hebbink MSc (Royal PasReform), Dr Thijs Manders (University of Utrecht). Updates will be published on the website.
  • The UK branch is hosting the next European Symposium on Poultry Welfare, on 31st May to 3rd June 2027 (please note the change of dates.) See the website and register your interest https://espw2027.com/.
  • The next World Waterfowl Conference will be organized 20-22 September 2027 in Nantes (France). All information is available at the following link.
