1.WPSA Indonesia and ASOHI Strengthen Collaboration to Support National Poultry Development

Bogor, January 15, 2026 — WPSA Indonesia held a meeting with the Indonesian Veterinary Pharmaceutical Association (ASOHI) as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration in advancing Indonesia’s poultry sector.

The meeting served as a platform for exchanging ideas and building closer cooperation among academics, researchers, and stakeholders in the animal health industry. Both organizations emphasized the importance of working together to support scientific development, innovation, and the long-term sustainability of the national poultry industry.

During the discussion, WPSA Indonesia and ASOHI agreed to follow up the meeting with a formal partnership aimed at reinforcing the poultry sector in Indonesia. The cooperation is expected to contribute to stronger knowledge-sharing, industry support, and practical solutions for future challenges in poultry production and animal health.

The meeting was attended by ASOHI’s Chairman, Secretary General, and members of its expert board. Representing WPSA Indonesia were its President, Vice President, and Secretary General.

 2. WPSA Indonesia Supports Innovation in Water Microbiology Testing

Jakarta, February 13, 2026 — WPSA Indonesia took part in a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) titled “Advancing Water Microbiology Testing: Aligning Regulation, Accreditation, and Innovation,” organized by PT Ecosains Hayati. The discussion brought together key stakeholders to explore recent developments in water microbiology testing and the importance of aligning regulatory frameworks, accreditation standards, and scientific innovation. The event was officially opened by the Deputy for Accreditation at the National Standardization Agency (BSN), followed by presentations from speakers who highlighted technical advancements in microbiological testing using the latest methods.

Through its participation in the forum, WPSA Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to promoting microbiological testing methods that are rapid, accurate, and practical, particularly for the poultry sector. The organization sees reliable testing as an essential component in supporting healthy and sustainable poultry farming systems, as well as ensuring better biosecurity and food safety standards. The FGD also underscored the growing need for stronger collaboration among regulators, laboratories, researchers, and industry players to keep pace with technological progress and evolving quality requirements. Participants agreed that innovation alone is not enough without harmonized regulations and credible accreditation systems to ensure consistent implementation.
