Introduction from the Secretary General, Ir Peter van Horne

We started the new year with a variety of activities. WPSA has hired marketing specialist Irina Tutert, who will assist the secretary and focus on marketing and promoting WPSA. We aim to have a more professional presence on our website, on social media, and at our booth at conferences and poultry shows.

At the end of March, WPSA will launch its new website. The website has been completely updated and now meets the latest standards. Please take a moment to explore it and learn about all the WPSA activities. WPSA is also active on LinkedIn, where we share our initiatives. We plan to use this platform to keep you informed about conferences, symposia, and workshops. Currently, we have over 300 followers, and we encourage you to connect with our account.

On March 12, WPSA hosted a successful conference at VIV Bangkok. President Michèle Tixier attended the 1st World Native Poultry Conference, which was organized by the working group ‘Small Scale Family Poultry Farming.’ We would like to thank Prof Dr Nasir Mukhtar for organizing this event and for his efforts in making it a success. Click here for a report.

The board will hold its annual meeting at the next large conference in June in Maastricht, the Netherlands: the ‘European Symposium on Poultry Nutrition.’ We hope to see you there.
