Autogenous vaccines - Use cases and role in bacterial resistance transmission to poultry progeny

Join EW Nutrition’s webinar in a series dedicated to the essential topic of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in animal production. Our 4th session will discuss the capacity of autogenous vaccines in disease control and mitigation of AMR transmission.

The two speakers will focus on routes through which resistant bacteria thrive and spread within and between ocks, and highlight vaccination as a key component of eective antibiotic reduction programs.

Dr. Heike Bigmore is a reputed veterinarian with long-standing credentials in some of the biggest companies in the industry: Intervet, Pzer, Ceva and now Vaxxinova. Her work in the animal vaccine industry, both in Germany and abroad, makes her one of the most informed and knowledgeable speakers in the industry.

Twan van Gerwe graduated as Veterinarian from Utrecht University in 2000. After working as poultry eld vet, he re-joined Utrecht University to start a PhD project (Campylobacter in broilers) and teach poultry health. From 2009 till 2017, he worked in dierent R&D positions within two multinational premix/feed companies. Since 2013 he is a diplomate of the European College of Poultry Veterinary Science. Actually he is the Technical Director within EW Nutrition.
