Raising turkeys in small and backyard flocks

Many people are interested in raising turkeys for home consumption. Dr. Sally Noll from the University of Minnesota will be discussing raising turkeys in small and backyard flocks. It is important to remember, however, that if you plan on selling the turkeys your raise, state regulations regarding the selling of poultry meat vary from state to state. It is important to check with your local Department of Agriculture regarding your state's rules before starting a flock for selling to the public.
